Pidgin status not updating Porn metting chat

Yesterday i installed debian lenny ( thanks to ashik salahudeen who sent me those DVDs for free 🙂 ). So started thinking of doing something and got landed in my usual plugin stuff. So downloaded my pidgin-audacious now playing code and rewritten it to access rhythmbox methods. This code is not going to use ‘watch’ command to execute it after a fixed period and another interesting feature is a format specifier kinda thing.ie Just write what you want in the status message and place a format specifier where you want to see the song title , album title and artist.() sipe: publish_calendar_status_self: current event is NULL () sipe: sipe_publish_get_category_state_calendar: Exiting as no publication and no event for cal_satus:3 () sipe: sipe_publish_get_category_state_calendar: Exiting as no publication and no event for cal_satus:2 () GLib: g_hash_table_lookup: assertion hash_table !

Do your friends really care what music you’re listening to?

It took quite a few days for this problem to surface again but this time I had two test accounts running with debug mode on.

Found so far, in what I think is no particular order: [Note: Before you install any of these, you should be aware that most of them have been known to crash Pidgin rather frequently, and ask yourself whether it is worth it.

Your friends Note: While Music Tracker seems to be the plugin that the maximum number of people have been successful in using, it appears that it sometimes crashes Pidgin as well (especially on non-ASCII characters in the title/artist).

I'm using Adium, and I have Pidgin using coworkers with the same problem: We're using an Openfire XMPP server within the company, and it's not properly updating status (offline to online, away to online, etc.) This seems to be a libpurple bug, since it affects both pidgin and adium.
